Many windows you cannot see from the street
Amsterdam West is mostly pre-war construction: narrow buildings, three or four floors and a shared garden behind almost every façade. That changes the job. The front windows may be reachable from the pavement, while the rear windows look onto a courtyard where a ladder cannot fit.
The area is busy too. Traffic along the Kinkerstraat, Jan Evertsenstraat and around Mercatorplein leaves windows dull sooner than on a quiet side street. A regular visit is often more useful than waiting until the glass is visibly dirty.
We work with a telescopic pole and purified water from ground level. There is no ladder against your frames, no scaffold in the garden and, when the outside is reachable, you do not need to be home.
