Bijlmer-Centrum includes Venserpolder, Amsterdamse Poort and, from 2026, the H-Buurt. The original Bijlmermeer was designed with high-rise buildings, green car-free courtyards and separate traffic levels.
That design creates a lot of shared glass: entrances, stairwells, galleries and façades that belong to the whole building rather than one home. A telescopic pole from ground level is often the most practical route for outside windows.
Amsterdamse Poort is the city centre of Zuidoost and is being renewed in the coming years. Around the nearby ArenA, sports, events, offices and hospitality meet. We schedule shops, associations and larger business premises around access and opening hours.
