The windows you cannot reach from your own home
De Baarsjes is compact, busy and full of pre-war apartment buildings. Many homes sit three or four floors above the street, with a second set of windows at the back that looks onto a shared garden.
Those rear windows are exactly where doing it yourself stops being practical. A ladder does not fit in the courtyard, and access through a neighbour is not a sustainable plan. We work from the ground with a telescopic pole wherever the building allows it.
